OUR PROJECTS

Dani Wilfrida Ayugi Osodo Indigenous And Shade Tree Nursery Project

DANI WILFRIDA AYUGI OSODO TREE MUSEUM

PROTECTING BIODIVERSITY

We are anticipating a Target of 90000 Indigenous/Shade/Fruit tree Species

Planting rare and Indigenou species and eventually building a seed Bank of these Precious species.

With this in mind, in 2024, together with our partners Zenaga Foundation and Sports for Future we are setting up our tree museum and training center in Muhoroni Sub County, Kisumu County, with the aim of planting rare and ingenious species and eventually building a seed bank of these precious species. Seeds are a lifeline and a big part of building climate resilience.

GREEN SCHOOLS PROGRAMME

Our flagship program involves working with schools to set up tree nurseries, plant trees within the school and run training programs for the students.

Education is a core part of our program. We equip the students with the skills needed to plant and grow trees. We also educate them on  climate issues facing Kenya and the world and how we can mitigate them. We do this by using modern technologies like VR kits to make the learning interesting. fun and transformative.

Our activities in the Green Schools Program involve:

• Tree planting

• Educative sessions with students

• Tree Nursery setup

• Planting Orchards

• Regular follow-up

• Training at Dana Wilfrida Ayugi Osodo Tree Nursery

• Visits to Forests
